RNXSA Ayrshire Branch

Ayrshire Branch meets on a Monday Night in it's premises on the Scottish Maritime Museum's Quayside 19.30 - 21.30 Social gathering after 21.30. During the winter refresher courses on Navigation, Engineering, Seamanship and VHF can be taken. Summer Meeting evenings timeis usually taken up by working on and maintaining the vessels, when the weather and tide is suitable some dinghy and RIB sailing is done.
Weekends in winter is usually when maintenance of the Unit and vessels takes place
Weekends in the Summer some maintenance on the vessels but sailing and boating when weather tide and crew permit.

Recent Events

In May the RNXSA Ayrshire Branch Played host to the Navy with a visit to the Scottish Maritime Museum by HMS SMITER.
 
Two more Day Skipper Join the ranks Mr I. Ferguson and Mr J Wheeler both passed the Practical Day Skippers course, Well Done!

Friday 19 July a crew from Ayrshire Branch RNXSA set off for Classon dock to bring the Motor Sailer Carinella to Irvine. This was successfully done she arrived in Irvine Monday 22nd July   

Saturday 10th August 7 Members with a back up team of three set off from The unit in Ayrshire to cycle the legnth of the Forth & Clyde Canal. Left the unit at 09.00 the bikes safely packed in Willies's van, arrived Bowling basin at 10.00, set off on the bikes along the canal at 10.30.
